Handling a bigger-sized boxer by using suitable tactics



Many kungfu practitioners have difficulty fighting a Boxer because of his speed. It is made worse if the Boxer is bigger in size. These disadvantages can be overcome with suitable tactics taught in this lesson.

Shaolin Kung Fu Employ Dragons and Immortals

Here is another effective tactic against a Boxer. Use “Wave Dragon Back to Cave” to close the Boxer, or open him with “Immortal Emerges from Cave”. The Boxer is quite helpless here.

Shaolin Kung Fu Slow Motion to show Mechanics of Tactic

The movements are now performed slowly to reveal their mechanics. Close the Boxer with brushing hands, or open him with intercepting hands. Chase after him when he retreats, and strike him continuously.

Shaolin Kung Fu Size and Weight becomes Unimportant

Now the movements are performed fast. Although the attacker is bigger and heavier, he is quite helpless as the Shaolin exponent attacks him with the tactics taught to the participants.

This video clip shows another example of handling a Boxer using the tactic of closing him and striking him. It should be noted that this is only one of many effective tactics against a Boxer. There are many other effective tactics. This tactic is developed from Sequence 1 of our basic combat sequences.
