SIMPLE TECHNIQUES, FIGHTING EXPERIENCE AND DEMONSTRATION OF SET
Simple techniques were used against other martial artists instead of sophisticated ones because these simple techniques were effective, and not because we did not know sophisticated techniques. If we used sophisticated techniques our students might not have adequate skills to do so.
Another important factor was that our students lacked fighting experience, especially in facing threating attacks. Our 30-Opponent Programme was an excellent way to overcome this problem and build confidence in our students.
Then course participants demonstrated the Iron Wire Set, followed with a discussion. Some important points discussed included not tensing the muscles to cause blockage, opening the mouth, and smoothness of form.
