Giving an opponent a free offer is a common mistake
many martial artists make though they be unaware of it
Why does a kungfu practitioner use a kungfu pattern while observing an opponent in combat? Of course, it is not to show that he knows kungfu! It is because poising in a kungfu pattern instead of merely standing ordinarily gives the practitioner certain advantages, irrespective of whether he is going to attack or defend. Do you know what these advantages are?
