MODIFYING HAND FORMS AND STANCES TO DERIVE VARIATIONS
Amongst many other benefits, Combat Sequences 1 to 4 provide the form to learn basic skills as well as basic techniques for all striking attacks and defences. When you know these four sequences very well you may, if you like, modify the hand-form or the stance of some patterns. You can derive a lot of patterns and variations of the sequences in this way.
