LEARNING THE SET OF 36 LEG TECHNIQUES

Learning the routine of a set is only the first step in set practice. Many students, however, remain at this first step regardless of how many years they have spent in kungfu training.

The other steps are form, force, flow -- which constitutes the force method; or form, flow, force -- which constitutes the flow method.

At the form level, students aim at picture-perfect form. At the force level, students develop and explode force At the flow level, students can perform the whole set smoothly in sequences, and not as individual patterns.
