TRANSMITTING SKILLS
Sifu Andy Cusick
Shaolin Wahnam Instructor and Healer
20th November 2012
Dear All,
This is a sensitive topic so I would like to post once more to clarify my sentiments. After that I would prefer to leave this topic to personal face-to-face discussion, as the chance of causing offence through misinterpretation of online posts is high.
Thus far I haven't taken on any healing clients. I am looking to learn from those that have in order to develop my healing skills. I also don't know what it is like to go through losing a client.
All of the Shaolin Wahnam certified healers have been trained and vetted by Sifu and so are qualified to heal. We all have had to heal ourselves to get to where we are. All of us have the skills and knowledge to unblock and recharge a student/client's meridian system and so enable health.
These skills and abilities are not only exceptionally rare but are the foundation for health and well-being, so by making them public we are doing a vital public service. While perfecting our skills may take a lifetime, using them now fulfils a current important social need.
This does not mean we will always be successful in our healing. The client not only has to be receptive to our energy and our teaching, the client has to heal themselves through their own efforts:
Quote:
"No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path."
- The Buddha
By contracting our clients to attend our centre, we supervise their path. We set an intention, provide direction and confidence, transmit skills and energy and create the space to heal. But the client's health, like their thoughts, are their own.
Quote:
"Life and death are one thread, the same line viewed from different sides."
- Lao Tzu
We cannot stop death in the same way we cannot stop people being born. Unlike conventional medicine, we know that until the dying breath is drawn there is always hope of a miraculous turn around; the regeneration of health, the regeneration of well-being and eventually the enablement of spiritual expansion. Shen leads the Chi creates the form. This does not mean that such a turn around will always happen.
Moreover we are not necessarily privy to the best interests of the client in an ultimate sense. Perhaps both the client and the universe as a whole are better served by a materialisation into another life rather than a continuation of the current one.
Quote:
"After this chi flow, and after every chi flow, your soul is slightly purer."
- Sifu
Whatever the outcome, when we pass on the skills that Sifu has handed down, the student/client improves at the physical/mental/emotional/spiritual levels after every chi flow. In most cases this should enable a return to health, in other cases this may assist in the passing over. For those who pass over a seed has been planted that may blossom in future existences. This is a priceless gift.
Shaolin Salutations to Sifu and our Healers,
Andy
